We’ll head to Northstar for an unforgettable evening of stargazing and exploration with Tahoe Star Tours. Gather around the fire, learn about the wonders of the night sky, and discover the stories and science behind the stars. Then, experience the cosmos through powerful Celestron telescopes, with expert guides helping us explore distant stars, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae.
This special evening is an opportunity to slow down, look up, and connect with our community while experiencing one of the most spectacular natural resources we have right here in Tahoe—the night sky.
We’re excited to partner with Tahoe Star Tours and Truckee Cultural District, a program of Nevada County Arts Council, to bring this unique experience to our community as part of Keep It Dark Astrotourism Weekend.

Get the Led Out brings the music of Led Zeppelin to the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The tribute band recreates the sound and energy of the legendary rock group with a live performance featuring many of Zeppelin’s best-known songs. The concert begins at 8 p.m.
The Tahoe Literary Festival brings writers, readers, and thinkers together in Tahoe City for a weekend of author talks, readings, workshops, book signings, and panel discussions. The festival offers a chance to hear from featured authors, explore new ideas, and connect with the literary community in a relaxed Tahoe setting.
Truckee Oktoberfest kicks off a full weekend of fall festivities with food and drinks, live music, guided hikes, yoga, coffee tastings, games, family activities, and seasonal experiences throughout Truckee.
Rumours of Fleetwood Mac brings the music of Fleetwood Mac to the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The internationally acclaimed tribute band recreates the sound, harmonies, and stage presence of one of rock’s most iconic groups, with a live show featuring many of Fleetwood Mac’s best-known songs. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Oct 15-16. The Historical Haunted Tour returns for a second evening of guided storytelling through historic Truckee. Guests will hear tales of local legends, unusual events, and some of the darker chapters from the town’s colorful past.
The 31st Lake Tahoe Marathon Weekend takes place October 16–18, 2026, with three days of races set against Lake Tahoe’s fall scenery. Events range from 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and the Lake Tahoe Marathon to multi-day challenges including the Tahoe Triple and Tahoe Trifecta, plus a 72-mile ultra, relay races, and kids’ runs. Courses span both California and Nevada, with routes through Incline Village, Emerald Bay, and other scenic areas around the lake.

The Achieve Tahoe Vintner Dinner is a wine-focused fundraising evening benefiting Achieve Tahoe and its adaptive recreation programs. Guests can enjoy a special dinner paired with wines while supporting inclusive outdoor recreation for people with disabilities.
Edgewood Tahoe hosts a special four-course Spirit Dinner featuring signature spirits from Frey Ranch Distillery, paired with a specially curated menu at Brooks’ Bar and Deck. Guests will also hear insights into the distillery’s history and craft from Frey Ranch co-owner Ashley Frey and National Brand Ambassador Chris Dooley. The evening begins with a welcome reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person.

The event takes place across the Kahle Community Center & Kahle Park campus. Local businesses and community groups host decorated trunks and hand out candy. Registration for hosts is available online via Douglas County Community Services or in person.
Trail of Treats & Terror is a free Halloween celebration at Village Green and the Incline Village Fitness Trails. Families can enjoy a haunted forest, costumes, candy, food, music, and other Halloween activities from 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Downtown Tahoe City welcomes families for an afternoon of Halloween trick-or-treating as part of the month-long Hauntober celebration. Participating businesses throughout town join in the festivities.

Celebrate Halloween on Lake Tahoe aboard the M.S. Dixie II with a special costume dinner cruise departing from Zephyr Cove. The evening includes dinner, live entertainment, dancing, costumes, and sunset views from the lake. Kids cruise free!
Crawl-O-Ween brings a Halloween twist to the Tahoe Club Crawl with a night of costumes, nightlife, and stops at participating South Lake Tahoe venues. The event runs from 8–11 p.m.
